Leadership Team

We’re excited to have Avi Satov returning as Camp Director. With 15 years of camp staff experience under his belt, including five summers directing one of Quebec’s largest camps, Avi brings lots of youthful energy, enthusiasm and a love of children to the role. With a B.Ed from McGill University, Avi spends the offseason as one of the most popular teachers at Montreal’s Bialik High School, where he complements his academic duties with coaching multiple sport teams. Avi’s philosophy of caring for campers with compassion and teaching them values, has made him an excellent addition to our leadership team.

Program Director is Daniel “D-Brave” Braverman. The Queen’s University graduate marks his 8th summer on staff and 16th season at camp. Dan’s friendly, hands-on approach to campers and staff alike has made him a popular role model for all.

Assistant Director, Emerson Thomas, is a 19-year Pripstein’s veteran. Emerson is the Athletic Director at Montreal’s Bialik High School, a former all-Canadian basketball star at Concordia University and captain of his team in the Swiss pro league. He had served almost two decades as our Head Counsellor before moving up to Assistant Director.

Ronnie Braverman, who had directed the camp for 32 years, now takes care of the business & logistical details. He still makes the rounds of the cabins at night to say good-night to “his” 200 kids... and of course Ronnie B. still plays a rockin’ electric bass guitar in the band at our legendary Friday night sing-songs!
